L-karnitīns ir organisks ķīmisks savienojums, kas transportē garās ķēdes taukskābes, ražojot enerģiju, kas nepieciešama šūnu funkcionēšanai. Turklāt tam ir spēja pazemināt holesterīna un triacilglicerīna līmeni.
