In the case of boxing gloves, the size is not given, but the weight of the glove in ounces. 1 Oz is 28.4 grams, so, for example, 10 OZ gloves weigh 284 grams and 12 OZ gloves weigh 340.8 grams. However, the weight of boxing gloves is partly related to their size. A typical size for an adult male is a 10 oz glove. This size is especially recommended for training on instruments. In the case of sparring, 12, 14 and even 16 oz gloves are used to provide more protection for the partner. In the case of women, it is common to select boxing gloves of 8 or 10 oz.

Typical weight boxing gloves for children there is a weight of 6 and 8 oz. It is assumed that for children up to 8 years of age, 6 oz gloves are sufficient and for 8 to 13 years of age, 8 oz gloves are sufficient. From the age of 14, they are already mostly sized as for adults.
