Softer than the X51, the Target Pro GT-H47 impresses with its performance and reliability. Target Pro is a lining series, the result of a research and development program involving Cornilleau experts, Michelin engineers and the world's largest rubber manufacturer. The aim of this project was to achieve the highest level of efficiency and safety in topspin and counter-topspin strikes.
Each top layer developed jointly by Cornilleau and Michelin experts has a special formula to optimize flexibility, as well as a unique shape of the tabs.
All Cornilleau brand linings are ITTF accredited for official use in international tournaments.
Speed
The special formula and cell structure allow the NEXTENS sponge to interact more effectively with the nubs located under the surface in contact with the ball. The GT (Great Tension) evolution in our NEXTENS sponge gives extra strength and also transfers more spin to the ball.
The speed is determined by the specificity of the sponge + the surface layer, and above all by the properties of the sponge ("bounce effect" of elasticity + thickness + hardness). A thick sponge (2.0mm or max) will be more suitable for OFF / OFF + players, while a thinner one (1.6 or 1.8mm) will provide better control and better suited to all-round players. The hardness of the sponge is usually measured in degrees (the higher the grade, the harder the sponge).
Ball rotation
The outer layers of GRIP EXTEND PLUS allow you to carry even more spin in each phase of the game thanks to increased flexibility and an impressive level of grip. The grip is determined by the specificity of the sponge + top layer, and above all the properties of the top layer (grip + elasticity + shape). With better grip, the ball rotation will be better. Then, greater flexibility will increase the contact area with the ball. Shape and density also have a great influence on the effect.
The SPIN-DRIVE 3D technology optimizes the 3 performance settings in the upper layer: shape, size and density. This technology, built into the TARGET PRO GT, provides a unique combination of maximum grip and power.
