DBX BUSHIDO Kids karate kimonos are made from a blend of durable polyester (65%) and cotton (35%) . The combination of these two materials makes the kimono not only lightweight and pleasant to the touch, but also flexible and therefore tear-resistant.

The kimono pants combine traditional lacing with an additional elastic band, which significantly improves the usability of the outfit for children by preventing the pants from slipping off during training.

A children's karate kimono should be made of soft and lightweight material. The recommended weight is approximately 200 g/m². The optimal composition is cotton and polyester – the recommended ratio is approximately 65% cotton and 35% polyester. This ratio ensures comfortable training and makes the material tear-resistant.
Cotton, as a natural material, tends to shrink during washing, so it is worth choosing a size larger than the child's height, e.g. if the child is 120 cm tall, it is recommended to choose size 130 cm.
Kumite kimonos should be made of soft, lightweight material to allow for freedom of movement during combat. Professional kimonos also feature mesh panels on the back for improved ventilation.
What kind of kimono is best for kata training?
A kimono for kata training should be heavier (approx. 350 g/m2) and made of stiffer material, which will make noise when performing forms.
